Hello Everyone. If I am honest I am pinching myself that I even get to write this post, but today I became aware of a major reply from Daniel Forslund one of threads defending machine world. This campaign has building for a moment like this to happen for along time and for him to address the situation on of the campaigns steam thread is surreal This Reply/ Update is attached below.
Hi,
A mention of this came up in my twitter feed (which I seldom read). So I thought I would address a few points.
First of all, is it "dead"? Not in my thoughts, it is not. It is not abandoned in the sense that it won't get updated and there won't be a future for MW.
That said, I find it both sad and amusing that people think we "took the money and ran". Which money? The fact is that the game has not made its money back. It hasn't broken even. Meaning that I spent more of our money building the game over 3 years than what it made back (to this day even).
So, in the real world that means that sometimes you have to shift focus and do something else for a while to support your family. That is what has happened. And this has nothing to do with comfort or cowardice. Talk to me again when you have had dramatic things happen in your life and to your loved ones and you have to change your priorities.
Regarding it being a cash grab having it still for sale? No. I am sad that some of you feel that way, but others don't. I think the game is value for money in the sense that it does what it set out to do.
Are there bugs? Yes, sure. Does it make it unplayable? No. We playtested it a lot - both during development and in the immediate period after, and for the absolute majority of the time it works exactly as intended.
I honestly feel that the game is well worth the relatively small ammount we charge for it. I would argue that many of you have spent way more on things that didn't last an hour.
Also, there is the Steam refund option, which enables anyone to try this out and return it if they really do not like it.
As for the future. We do intend to take take another stab at it. But again, that will happen when the time is right and life allows for it.
In the meantime, I understand if people move on, or feel that they want updates, and so on. I absolutely do.
However, if you do like the concept and do want to see this move further, support is much better than accusations.
Sometimes life doesn't go according to plan. That doesn't necessarily make someone an evil cash grabber. Nor does a long pause mean that something is abandoned.
Anyway, that's straight from me. I wish you well.

firstly I would like to say thank you so much to Daniel for taking time to reply to my thread and address the current situation. As for my position the thought of moving on is not something that I even have one thought on at the Moment. The only radio silence from me at the moment is due to university commitments and other outside stuff. Even as I take on this commitments Machine world and the Trino team are always in my thoughts.
As for everyone continuing to spew negativity, Please have a greater consideration that the humans behind the game have a personal life and understand their personal lives have had some family emergencies and financial problems. During my time on the Trinogames.com forum I've failed to understand this until this year, which I will not being going into to respect my families privacy, which I hope you understand.
To sign off this blog post, I would like to say that this update has given this page and mission a huge boost which I never thought would happen so soon. As for the update I am very satisfied with what Daniel has said. I hope that It can be understood well and given the understanding it deserved. However this post gives the campaign great confidence and excitement for the game even more personally again for us and for others. A lot of time has been spent getting this campaign to this state so to get this response from Daniel is amazing!
In the next posts I will be continuing to talk about the unique things you can do with the vehicles of machine world among many other thing I have found out. I also have plenty of screen shots to make and plan new posts out of too!
Until the next post or major update.
